Chris has over twenty years experience managing social and environmental programmes for the supply chains of national and multi-national Fortune 500 companies, including Wal-Mart, Burberry and Philip Morris International. His background includes Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia, and his areas of expertise cover supply chain, corporate affairs, and corporate social responsibility. Chris supports clients in sustainability, business and human rights, productivity, change management and in the provision of remediation and software tools.
As one of a team representing international retailers Chris was involved in the development of the Paris-based Global Social Compliance Programme (GSCP), a governance structure for business and human rights in the international retail sector. He was appointed to the steering group responsible for the creation of the World Banana Forum, endorsed by United Nations Food & Agriculture Organization and tasked with the development of sustainable production practices in the banana industry. Following a House of Lords recommendation that the UK government develop a new strategy on business and human rights, Chris was appointed to the UK Ministry of Justice Human Rights steering committee.
